The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe (Hardcover)

By J. Randy Taraborrelli
$26.99
ISBN-13: 9780446580823
Availability: Usually Ships in 1-5 days
Published: Grand Central Publishing, 08/01/2009

It's about time a decent, respectable, & honest book has been written about Marilyn Monroe. Mr. Taraborrelli takes us back to the beginning: her birth, her parents, her sister, a brother she never knew, and the mental illness that plagued her family. Marilyn was a woman who wanted to be loved by everyone, but she didn't live long enough to be the receiver, rather than the sender. A fascinating read I really did enjoy!  -Margie

Monteiro, with the help of renegade priest, Rafael Santini, will infiltrate the inner workings of Vatican City to try to discover the truth and keep the new Pope safe from harm.  -Margie

Fragment (Hardcover)

By Warren Fahy
$25.00
ISBN-13: 9780553807530
Availability: Usually Ships in 1-5 days
Published: Delacorte Press, 06/01/2009
I've long been a fan of Michael Crichton. Since his death I've been hard pressed to find an author whose storytelling and imaginative plots even remotely come close to captivating me as Crichton has, until I read Fragment. Warren Fahy brilliantly meshes the scientific and the impossible in this heart-thumping, edge-of-your-seat novel. I was captivated by the thrilling plot from the first page and loath to put the book down. I cannot wait for Fahy's next book - he has an instant fan in me.  -Margie

The Lost Symbol (Hardcover)

By Dan Brown
$29.95
ISBN-13: 9780385504225
Availability: Usually Ships in 1-5 days
Published: Doubleday, 09/01/2009
Wow!  This book should be read by all!  Professor Langdon is summoned to give a lecture in Washington DC by an old colleague, but the mysteries involving the old Brotherhood of the Freemasons begin immediately. Amazing, mysterious, intriguing, graphic, and surprisingly soul gratifying. This is Mr. Brown's best work to date - I can't wait for the next book!  -Margie

The Last Pope (Mass Market Paperback)

By Luís Miguel Rocha
$9.99
ISBN-13: 9780515146608
Availability: Usually Ships in 1-5 days
Published: Jove, 07/01/2009
On September 29, 1978, Pope John Paul I is found dead after having been elected only three months earlier. Speedily embalmed merely 24-hours later, the Vatican declares that the Pope has died of natural causes, case closed. The novel then jumps ahead to 2006, when a young reporter finds a mysterious envelope in her mailbox containing a list of names and a coded message. When her home is broken into, she knows she is in danger. In her quest to find out who has given her this list and what it contains, she must decide which is more important: the truth or her life. Fans of Dan Brown will be intrigued with every flip of the page.  -Margie
