KPBS and the San Diego Public Library have joined together for One Book, One San Diego, a community-wide initiative to encourage all San Diegans to read the same book at the same time.

The 2009 selection, as voted on by You, the reader, is The Zookeeper's Wife by Diane Ackerman. Previous books in the program have been Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Relin (2008) and Enrique's Journey by Sonia Nazario (2007).
